It's A Lovely Month

It's Ramadhan.
This is my first Ramadhan in Jordan. Apart from my beloved family.
But, I'm really excited this year. Celebrating Ramadhan is like celebrating Aidilfitri.
Full of enjoyment. It's exciting.

I can't elaborate more about my feeling as I am speechless.
Unbelievable. I am in a blessing month.
Hopefully, I am fully prepared and my heart is ready to go through this month of barakah.

Usually, we do forgive others and seek for forgiveness from others when it comes to Aidilfitri.
But then I realize that in the month of Ramadhan is a time for forgiveness.
In the Qur'an, it specifically states that Allah will forgive those that forgive others.
Also, Allah has mercy on those that show mercy upon others.

Narrated ‘Ubaadah that the Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever seeks forgiveness for the believing men and believing women, Allah will write for him a good deed for EACH believing man and believing woman.” (Tabarrani)

The most beautiful month has come upon us. Almighty Allah says :

“The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Quran was sent down, a guidance for mankind, clear proofs for the guidance, the Criterion; so whoever amongst you witnesses this month, let him fast it." (Surah al-Baqarah 2:185)

In this blessed month, rewards of any good deeds are multiplied.

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever draws near to Allah during it (Ramadan) with a single characteristic from the characteristics of (voluntary) goodness, he is like whoever performs an obligatory act in other times. And whoever performs an obligatory act during it, he is like whoever performed seventy obligatory acts in other times.” (Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 1887)

So, the first step we have to do is purifying our intentions. It is crucial that we purify and correct our intentions before doing any acts of worship.
This is really important as we might have other underlying intentions in our hearts without realizing it.

"Verily actions are judged by intention." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

That's why, before doing any good things, we need to focus only on one intention, which is doing good deeds for the sake of Allah. To only pleasing Allah. InsyaAllah.

I think that most of us already knew what things and deeds we have to do to gain rewards from Allah.
Thus, let's grab the chance. =)

"Ramadhan is like the rain. It nourishes the seeds of good deeds."
